The Comparative Impact of Focus on Forms vs. Focus on Form Instructions on the Receptive Skills of Reading and Listening: An Experimental Study of Iraqi Intermediate EFL Learners

This study was an attempt to investigate the effects of two forms instruction, namely, FonF and Fonfs on developing listening reading abilities skills Iraqi intermediate EFL learners. The research is by nature a dimensional which covers both macro teaching professionalism micro learning development. Before starting treatment, in order test homogeneousness students, PET piloted among 80 students being at same language proficiency level main participants this showed high reliability validity indices. Subsequently, sections IELTS were administered selected then they divided into three experimental control groups receiving treatments one term six weeks. taught through strategies conventional group enjoyed routine classroom schedule syllabus. researchers employed independent samples t results indicated significant difference mean rank post-test (p = 0.049<0.05). Moreover, she used ANOVA univariate analyses that there use post-test. Therefore, multiple comparisons exposed basically more operational for exercising tasks than skills. All all, either or can be benefit Iranian learners since differences between numerical values obtained have not been greatly different reject treatment Fonfs.
